** ARGENTINA [non]. 9395 // 9455, March 19 at 1918, RAE starts another week of no German relay via WRMI; instead, Oldies music. 7780 very weak, presumed Brother Scare.
9395 // 9455, March 21 at 0102, RAE in English is still on both, 9455 being quite stronger here, with informal news of Buenos Aires crime. The WRMI skedgrid shows 9395 only, with 9455 committed to four other programs on Thu-Fri-Sat-Mon, but I assume RAE remains on both, UT Tue thru Sat (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CANADA. 1610 kHz, UT Tue March 20 at 0028, CHHA with ad in Italian for Flavor Shop, 905-AC phone, and others. Can`t get any more Latina than that! Undated program sked in UT -4
shows this hour weekly is `Italia Mia`. Is it from Taranto? Elsewhen during same 00-01 UT hour = 8-9 pm EDT, but here with UT days: Wed: `Activity Tuesday`; Thu: `Urban Definition`; Fri: `Labour News`; Sat: `Tango y Punto`; Sun: `Talentos` from 2100 Sat; Mon: `Mediation Station`; i.e. more English than most of the time on CHHA.
IIRC, 1540 CHIN Toronto used to diffuse a lot of Italian, and I see they still do among dozens of otherlangs:
such as M-F 2-6 pm `Drive Home with Massimo Ascolto` — what a great name for a radio broadcaster if not DXer (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CHINA. 9200 & 9280, March 20 at 1329 & 1331, weak Chinese sounds same but not confirmed //, presumably CNR1 jammers, as NDXC/Aoki shows both are Sound of Hope low-power nuisance frequencies from Taiwan. BTW, others listed in the area are: 9080, 9155, 9180, 9230, 9255, 9320, 9360 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 4765, March 21 at 0029, open carrier, R. Progreso music joined in progress at 0030:17; contrary to Arnie & Marta asserting that schedule is still from 0130 as during standard time; presumably also closes an hour earlier now at local midnite, 0400 UT (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 5990, March 19 at 2357, CRI English relay during conversation is on the air today, unlike at 2313 check March 18 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** CUBA. 11820, March 20 at 1314, RHC is S4-S5 here, quite readable on second-order spur out of S9+30 11840, along with intervening first-order spur on S9 11830. Also on 11850 at S6, trace on 11860. But 15370 remains clean of spurblobs at 1405 check, or so it seems, but fundamental is only S8 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** KOREA SOUTH. 5917.605v approx., March 20 at 1306 check, carrier from Voice of Freedom seems to have stopped here in downward drift (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** NIGERIA [non]. 11530, March 19 at *1927, WRMI cuts on during IS & ID loop, 1930 R. Herwa International, OK except for a 2-minute break in transmission at 1947*-*1949; 9580 // via FRANCE is a JBA carrier.
Ivo Ivanov says from A-18, this shifts half an hour earlier to 1900-1930 still on WRMI 11530, and France moving to 11625. HFCC A-18 shows 11530 still reserved the entire hour for WRMI at 1900-2000, and a separate entry covering 1900-2200, both 87 degrees to Africa (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 1922, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** NORTH AMERICA. 6950-USB, March 19 at 2359 as I`m tuning the pirate band, only thing heard is “Counting 1-2-3-4 — why deal?“ or something similar; weak but stronger than the very weak AM on 6950 which chex out as the fifth harmonic on my local 1390v KCRC with stupid sports talk. No reports of this in HFU (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1921 monitoring: confirmed Monday March 19 at 2351 the 2330 on WBCQ 9330.3v-CUSB, JBA with ECSS. Also confirmed UT Tuesday March 20 at 0030 on WRMI 7730, VG S9+35.
WORLD OF RADIO 1922 CONTENTS: Alaska, Anguilla, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia non, France, Germany and non, India, Indonesia, Iran and non, Japan and non, Korea South, Kurdistan non, Kuwait, Netherlands non, New Zealand, Nigeria non, North America, Oklahoma non, Romania, Russia, South Africa, South Carolina non, Spain, Turkey, UK, USA, unidentified; and the propagation outlook.
This time successfully completed 1922 barely in time for first airings Tuesday March 20 at 2030 on WRMI 7780 JBA, 9455 poor-fair; and 2130 on WRMI 7780 very poor, 9455 fair S9. Altho available almost 3 hours earlier, WBCQ still replayed #1921 at 2330 Tue Mar 20 on 9330.3v-CUSB, but with unusually good signal equivalent to 9395 WRMI, 9265 WINB.

** U S A. 7780, UT Wed March 21 at 0102, music and Keith Perron reminiscing about his days working for China Radio International`s domestic service, i.e. now on `PCJ Radio International`; poor here, but found // 5850 bigsig. Last info had for this hour was 7780 and 5950, as on WRMI skedgrid, I see, but 5950 not checked now. 5850 was supposedly running `Space Phono Radio` instead (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A [and non]. 9980, Monday March 19 at 2355, WWCR with adstring in English plus pulse jamming a la cubana, tho not nearly as heavy as upon R. Libertad via 9955 WRMI. WWCR sked for 6-7 pm weekdays on 9980 is `Commonsense Coalition`, perhaps worthy of jamming; or stray? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 3215, UT Tue Mar 20 at 0009, no signal from WWRB, and WWCR won`t come up until 0059. Is WWRB no longer doing any evening broadcasts? Used to be brief on UT Sun/Mon/Tue only. If any, in A-18 should resume 5050 instead (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
** U S A. 1130, March 19 at 1907, KLEY Wellington KS is still SNAFU, tho bits of modulated carrier are staying on longer now for up to 5 seconds at a time! (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
