Texas Radio Shortwave celebrates the weekend with three programs on 5950 kHz:

July 9 @ 2300 UTC – Two episodes of Gang Busters old-time radio from the 1940s. (Repeat)

Gang Busters, a true-crime radio show that ran from 1935 to 1957, features two episodes, one from 1942 and another from 1944.

July 10 @ 0000 UTC – Luckenbach Dance Hall. (Repeat)

Luckenbach, Texas was the subject of a country music classic by Waylon Jennings. This week we visit the dance hall and go out on the back patio to sample some of the artists that perform there every weekend.

July 10 @ 0100 UTC – Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown. (NEW)
He was born in far East Texas, but it was in San Antonio that he became famous for his mixture of zydeco, Texas blues, rock-and-roll, and folk music. Featured songs include “Alligator Eating Dog” and “Dixie Chicken.”
